Okay, I know it's a dinky little amp, but, does anybody know the ohmage of
the speaker they supply with it?? Requests to the company have been
fruitless...

Thanks.

If you have a DMM, you can pretty much just check it if you disconnect
one side from the amp.

I heard a guitar tech working on an eye poker style hair band guitar
several months ago. I asked him what amp he was using because it had
such a good sound. Turned out it was a beat up little Nifty 50.

Made me want to get one.

Thanks. In response to the other post... It does sound surprising good
for a small non-tube amp. I've done gigs with it with my DS-1 and it's
just killed - given that it's pumped through the PA and the monitors.
The reason why the ohmage guestion became important is because I wanted
to start dorking with a Talk Box that I borrowed from somebody, and
that's an 8 ohm driver....

I might just hook up an extension cab to that Nifty 50...

8ohms won't bother it. It'll just lose about half of it's power.

I never use a Talk Box[1], but I don't imagine that losing power in
the amp powering it is a problem at all.

I imagine that it would sound pretty good through a 4x12 cabinet.
Maybe anyhow.

[1] - The thought of sticking one of those tubes into my mouth makes
me ill. And memories of Frampton's TalkBox work cinches my never
doing it.

Well, it's mostly just out of curiosity. My keyboard friend has one and he
just never uses it. I used it at a gig the other night, and it was truly
awkward without any practice. On top of that, I started cracking up during
a solo because it sounded so bizzarre...
