People like to say that speakers designed for other kinds of musicians
sound like shit. When if fact, the 75s are very popular. They're not
very popular with people in this newsgroup, but that doesn't mean that
they aren't any good.

The V60's sound was probably one of the primary reasons that Engl
chose that speaker.

What amp are you looking for speakers for, and for what kind of music?

I play punk Rock And Roll
what's the sound of the v60? I've heard they're just a cheaper speaker.

I've never used it. But if you're familiar with the sound of an Engl
amp, that's probably a good indication.

What speakers are you using now, in what kind of cabinet?

Are they talking about the Vintage 30? If so, British or Chinese?

Tone is always subjective. If you like lots of mids output, the Vintage
30 is very efficient and sounds good to me. If you want bottom and
sparkle, you won't like it. In fact, regardless of "common wisdom," you
might like the common 75W Celestion better than the Vintage 30 for that
situation.

Ever hear a V30 in the large mesa 4-12 cab? Plenty of bass.

I think you mean VINTAGE 30, not V30.

I've heard my Vintage 30's in my customized 2x12 that's tuned and
ported. Yes, they can do bass. But they excel in the mids.
