Any suggestions? What was a typical amp used for these organs during the '60s?

Any suggestions?
Yeah. A broken one that can produce no sound.

In the sixties we actually had one of these and used a solid-state
Ampeg 100 watt 2x15 bass amp for it.

Oh come on. What do you have against the combo organ? It's just
another color in the rock 'n' roll tone pallet. You can just as
easily diss any modern rock 'n' roll instrument. Merely a matter of
taste and how used.

Interesting. Any particular significance in using a bass amp and the
15" speakers? I've heard regular guitar speakers can be burned out
through use with a combo organ. Why would that be?

It just didn't sound very "good." In fact to me it was kind of
nasty sounding. But if you dig it that's cool, diversity rules. That
sound was on a lot of sixties records for sure. No contest up against
a Hammond, but sure was lots tougher to transport a B3.

We were doing a series of shows in NYC parks, the Clairol Caravan,
summer of '67 I guess it was, and Clairol had arranged for Ampeg to
provide the amps. We went to the factory in Jersey to jam out and the
Ampeg guys gave us one each GT15C for the Farfisa and for the bass.
How's that for significance? <G>

No clue. We used to run the Farfisa *and* a guitar through one of
the B12XT 2x12 portaflexes at practises (we had two of those also,)
nothing burned up and it sounded great. We used the accordion input
for the organ. The topmost Altec Lansing 15 in one of the GT15C's
caught fire a few years later while I was playing bass through it.
